
A leading contender in the National Democratic Congress parliamentary primaries in the Akuapem South Constituency, Paul Osae Offei has made donations worth thousands of cedis to resource the party in the constituency.
He made this donation in the mid hours of Friday 31st March 2023 as part of his promise to delegates on making the party effective and attractive in their quest to snatch the parliamentary seat from the New Patriotic Party.
Some of the items he donated are, two motor bikes, one nasco 50 inch android television, a large size nasco refrigerator, 2.5 horsepower air-condition among others.
Presenting the items to the constituency chairman at the party’s office premises in Aburi, Paul Osae Offei indicated that, the party office is not in a befitting state and therefore the needs for a rehab which will make the secretarial work of the party easy.
“The party office is in a bad condition, I have seen the constituency executives making some changes in there, that’s why I also came in to help. I promised two motorbikes last week but later thought there’s a need to add more to support the party”, he said.
He added that, there are a lot of promises to fulfill and that more resources will rain upon the rank and file of the party as time goes by.
Receiving the donation, constituency chairman, Kojo Okyere Benny couldn’t hide the joy brought to him and his executives. He expressed his profound gratitude to Paul Osae Offei for such a thoughtful gesture, saying, it is the first time such a benevolent act is happening at the party.
He added that, 2024 elections will demand distinct strategy and proper planning therefore the need for a conducive office space.
Chairman Benny assured a score of party faithfuls who were present that, they are ready to work hard to unseat the incumbent member of Parliament if only delegates give them a good candidate on May 13.
As Oliver Twist, he charged chairman Paul to do more for the party as steps are in place to relocate the party office.
Finally, he advised supporters of Paul Osae Offei to do campaign devoid of insults but rather sell the good message of him.
“You have a good candidate, sell him well to delegates”, he added.
