DJ Candyman recently announced that he’s retiring from radio via his Facebook page.
According to him, he’s worked on radio for over two decades, and it’s enough for him to bow out of the space,
“26 years is enough for me to step out” he posted.

Candyman last Saturday affirmed his resignation on Power 97.9 FM. “I have resigned from Asaase FM,” he told Agyeman Prempeh Agyingo on Power entertainment last Saturday.

Born Alex Kwaku Amoah also known as DJ Candy Man started his Disc Jockeying journey from a campus-based radio, Radio Link 99.5, while schooling at Kumasi Polytechnic.

He afterwards worked in a nightclub and he later moved to Hello 102.1 FM from 2005 to 2011, and later moved to Accra Rainbow radio 87.5 for two and half years. He furthermore moved to Atinka as the head of entertainment, and finally to Asaase 99.5 Accra.

DJ Candyman has been in the media space for over 26 years, with experience in the field.
