Renowned radio luminary Anthony Kobla Abotchie, widely celebrated as the most influential morning show host in the Bono East Region, has officially transitioned to Sompa 106.5 FM, a subsidiary of Teraone Media in Accra, following his unexpected resignation from Techiman based Classic 91.9 FM in January.

Abotchie, whose name has been synonymous with morning radio excellence, dedicated an impressive 23 years to Classic FM, cementing his status as an industry titan.

His sudden departure sent shockwaves through the region, leaving listeners and media enthusiasts in disbelief given his unwavering loyalty to the station.

In a Facebook announcement, Abotchie confirmed his move to Sompa 106.5 FM, a newly inaugurated media powerhouse in the capital. While speculation is rife regarding his new role, it remains uncertain whether he will take the reins as the station’s morning show host.

However I am closely monitoring developments, as his presence is expected to make a significant impact on the Accra radio landscape.

Stay tuned for more updates as the situation unfolds.
