Some reports on the desk of WonuanieSpeaks suggest that popular veteran Broadcaster Yaw Awudu Dompreh known in the media circles as YAD is set to part ways with Angel Broadcasting Network after close to two decades of dedicated service with the media brand.
The same report yet to be confirmed suggests that he may join another media giant also in Accra if no intervention is made.
YAD as he is affectionately called started the Radio business in 1992 with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) when his Boss Glec Migle gave him his first opportunity as a guest DJ. He later had an opportunity at Sky FM in Sunyani, then to Chris FM, Berekum before joining Royals FM in 1998.
From there YAD moved to Nkawkaw to help set up and start Life FM in 1999, then later moved to Classic FM in Techiman, then to Kumasi-based FOX FM from 2001 to 2004. The Radio journey continued to Happy FM where he stayed for less than a year before moving back to Sky FM for the second time in 2005. He later joined Kumasi-based Ash FM and then Nananom FM in Goaso from 2005 to 2007.
Yaw Awudu Dompreh played a very key role in the establishment of Kumasi-based Angel FM at Abrepo Junction on March 2007 and the growth to become Angel Broadcasting Network owned by Dr. Kwaku Oteng.
Efforts to reach YAD to either confirm or deny this information has proven futile, however, your truly WONUANIESPEAKS will update you on all updates of this story in the coming days
YAD is currently the host of two popular weekend shows on Angel FM in Accra ie Angel Weekend Show ( Saturdays at 6:30 am) and Sunday Evening Special (Sundays at 6:30 pm)
