
The staff of Kumasi’s fastest-growing radio station Akoma FM, a subsidiary of Media General, have paid a courtesy call on Sompa FM to commiserate with them following the death of radio legend Mmrantehene Yeboah Afari.
The Akoma FM team on Thursday afternoon visited its sister station at Suame as tradition demands to sympathize with staff of Sompa FM and the family of the deceased, Mmrantehene Yeboah Afari AKA Man 88.
Mrantehene Yeboah Afari, a stalwart within the media fraternity, passed on Saturday, September 17 after a short illness.
The radio gem was a torchbearer within the evening belt of radio in the Ashanti Region with his notable mysterious style and flair of radio programming.
The radio legend, before his sudden demise, was the Akwamuhene of Asokore Mampong.
His death has been a big blow to the radio fraternity and Asanteman in general.


As a member of the Media General Group, Akoma FM extends its deepest condolences to the family, the entire staff of Sompa FM and the Asokore Mampong Traditional Council.
The one-week observation was held on Sunday, September 25 at the Asokore Mampong community center behind the Asokore Mampong Rural Bank.
