Dyslexia Care Foundation in partnership with the Rotary Club of Accra-Kanda has donated food items, children’s clothing and books to 100 households in the Otareso Community near Baware in the Okere District of the Eastern Region.

The donation formed part of the “Sub for Santa Project” by the Dyslexia Care Foundation to ensure single mothers, widows and people with various challenges do not feel left out of the Christmas celebrations.
The community was nominated by some members of the Rotary Club of Accra-Kanda who visit the area regularly as part of their engagements in the community.
Delivering the items, Emma Owusu-Ansah of the Dyslexia Care Foundation, said they came to the Otareso community because they wanted the donation to be more impactful.

She revealed that her foundation is spending $4000 as part of the “Sub for Santa” and “Back to School” projects in various communities
across the country.
Some beneficiaries who spoke to Freedom Radio’s Kwasi Ganyo, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the foundation and also called on the government and other philanthropists to help them put up classroom blocks for the Otareso Community School which currently have only two classrooms shared by pupils from KG1 to Primary six with only two teachers.
