The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) Chief Executive, Dr. Victor Asare Bampoe, received a special visit from staff member and seasoned gospel artiste, Ms. Judahna Esther Godwyll, who recently won the Best Female Vocal Performer award at the prestigious Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
The musician, whose award serves as a testament to her exceptional talent and dedication to her craft, paid a courtesy call on Dr. Bampoe at his office in Accra on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, to officially present her award and dedicate it to the NHIA.
She was accompanied by Deputy Director of Claims at Claims Processing Center, Accra, Madam Oforiwa Portuphy; E-Claims Support Manager, Mr. Eric Nazar; Claims Assistant Manager, Mr. Godfred Tudzi; and Provider and Client Relations Manager, Madam Akpene Amedume.
During the visit, Esther expressed gratitude to Dr. Bampoe and the Executive Management for creating an enabling environment that allows staff to pursue their passions while contributing to the Authority’s mission.
“NHIA has been very instrumental in my personal and corporate growth as a communication specialist, and I dedicate this award to the Authority for the opportunity to serve,” she added.
She stated that her song “I Choose to Praise,” which earned her the award, was motivated by her mentor, the late gospel musician Kofi Owusu Dua Anto, popularly known as KODA.
“It was actually a tribute to my mentor, KODA of blessed memory. And little did I know that it was going to win an award. But I give God all the glory for this big win.”
Ms. Esther urged upcoming artists not to give up and instead remain driven by their purpose, using their talents to inspire and uplift others, saying, “Gospel music is not for entertainment, but it’s a transformative tool for bringing souls into the kingdom.”
Dr. Bampoe congratulated Esther on her outstanding achievement and the honour brought to the Authority, encouraging her to continue using her platform to inspire and uplift others.
He also expressed pride in the musician’s accomplishment, noting that it reflects positively on the NHIA’s commitment to nurturing talent and excellence.
Esther is a seasoned gospel artiste, worshipper, vocal coach, and music director who has been making waves with her soul-stirring music.
