Tescon activities must go beyond handling over and welcoming freshers – Akuapem South MP

Member of Parliament for Akuapem South Constituency, Hon. O B Amoah has charged the leadership of the Tertiary Students Confederacy of the New Patriotic Party (Tescon) to work hard for the party.

Speaking at the Tescon handling over and welcoming of freshers ceremony at the Presbyterian Women College of Education, Aburi, the Akuapem South lawmaker charged the newly elected Tescon executives to work assiduously by educating and disseminating information about the good works of the government.

According to him, the youth of this country has benefited hugely from the current administration and, Tescon must take the charge of spreading the good news to attract more people to the NPP. He also asked them to organize more activities to make Tescon attractive in the various institutions.

“You should organize more activities in the school, we are there to support you. It shouldn’t always be handling over and welcoming of freshers, you should do more and work hard.” He said.

The Eastern Regional Youth Organizer of the NPP, Adamu Musah Raha, who was also present at the ceremony advised the newly elected Tescon executives of PWCE to learn hard to gain good Grade Point Average (GPA).

“You must learn hard, get a good GPA and pass your exam. You must not fail your exam and blame it on the work you are doing for Tescon, we won’t accept that”. He added.

Omanbapa Kofi Samdora, the Regional Tescon Coordinator also disclosed that his administration since insertion last year has completed the handling over and welcoming of freshers ceremony in almost all the Tertiary Institutions in the Eastern Region.

He added that his predecessor did well with Tescon and he is going to do more to make Tescon more attractive in the various schools.

On his side, constituency youth organizer of the NPP at Akuapem South, Enoch Asamoah (Ebefa) touted the great youth development the Akuffo Addo administration has done in the country.

According to him, the youth today are the most beneficiaries of this government. He sited the restoration of Teacher and Nursing Trainee Allowance, Free SHS, Youth Employment Agency among others.

In her remarks, Bernice Appiah Baah, the newly elected Tescon president of the Presbyterian Women College of Education (PWCE) Aburi, expressed gratitude to God for being elected as a Tescon president. She assured of raising the bar high and working hand in hand with the Constituency executives to break the eight.

Bernice Baah thanked Hon. O B Amoah for always supporting their activities and also taking the cost of their party card registration.
